Getting Our Heart Right
Date: Friday, July 03, 2015 Chapters: Psalms 114-118 Message Title: Getting Our Heart Right Hello My Friend, The heart is the center of our entire being, it feeds off of the wants, needs, and desires of our emotions. We can do everything we are supposed to do to serve God in hopes that it will bring joy, but none of that will do if our heart is not right. “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. In Fall

If you hold your wedding in fall, it's time to choose bridesmaid dresses! The styles for fall are different than those you might choose for a summer wedding. The groundwork for professional historiography in East Asia was established by the Han Dynasty court historian known as Sima Qian (145–90 BC), author of the Shiji (Records of the Grand Historian). For the quality of his written work, Sima Qian is posthumously known as the Father of Chinese Historiography. Chinese historians of subsequent dynastic periods in China used his Shiji as the official format for historical texts, as well as for biographical literature.[citation needed] Saint Augustine was influential in Christian and Western thought at the beginning of the medieval period. Through the Medieval and Renaissance periods, history was often studied through a sacred or religious perspective. Around 1800, German philosopher and historian Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel brought philosophy and a more secular approach in historical study.[20] In the... (more)

"For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found." And they began to celebrate. Luke 15:24 Zella Jackson Price had already lost a son during a premature birth. Because of that she was deeply concerned when, only seven months into her next pregnancy, she was rushed to the Homer G. Phillips Hospital in St. Louis. About an hour after the baby, Diane, was born, the doctors paid her a visit and said things didn't look good for the 2.3 pound baby. As this was 50 years ago and before modern medicine had made great strides in the care of early births, Price was not shocked when a nurse came in and said, "Your daughter has passed away." Looking back on that day, Price says, "I experienced the same sinking feeling when they told me my son died, so I didn't question it. I left that hospital thinking another one of my babies had died. I felt that sense of loss, and I was heartbroken. But I did what anyone else would do: I went home and went on with my... (more)
